Famotidine

Famotidine is a histamine-2 blocker that is used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines. It is also used to treat conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Famotidine works by reducing the amount of acid your stomach makes. This helps to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal ulcers and prevent them from coming back. It can also help treat heartburn, indigestion, and other symptoms of excess stomach acid.
