Vonoprazan

Vonoprazan is a new medication used to reduce stomach acid production. It is a proton-pump inhibitor that works by blocking the enzyme in the stomach that produces acid. It is used to treat conditions such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers and other conditions that cause too much stomach acid. Vonoprazan can also be used to prevent and reduce symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn. It is available in tablet form and should be taken orally, usually once daily in the morning.
