Colic

Colic is a medical term used to describe abdominal pain or discomfort caused by spasms and contractions of the intestines. It is a common condition in young children, and is usually short-lived and self-limiting. Symptoms of colic include excessive crying, cramping, abdominal distention and bloating, and difficulty in sleeping. In some cases, the pain can be severe enough to cause vomiting. Treatment for colic typically involves medications to reduce pain and spasms, as well as lifestyle modifications such as changes in diet and stress management. In severe cases, medical intervention may be necessary to reduce symptoms and treat any underlying conditions.
