Flu

Flu, also known as influenza, is a contagious respiratory illness caused by a virus. It can cause mild to severe symptoms, including fever, muscle aches, sore throat, cough, and congestion. Complications of flu can include pneumonia, ear and sinus infections, and worsening of chronic conditions, such as asthma and congestive heart failure. Flu season typically runs from October through May. Vaccination is the best way to prevent flu.

Joshanda

Joshanda, a polyherbal Unani (Greco-arab) formulation comprising seven herbs is extensively used in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory catarrh. The word “Joshanda” is derived from two words i.e. "Joshanidan” which means boiling and “Andah” which means “prepared by” thus Joshanda meaning, “prepared by boiling” (Vohora, 1986). Decoction of Joshanda mixture is prepared extemporaneously by boiling it for a substantial length of time.
