Typhus
Typhus is an infectious disease caused by the Rickettsia bacteria. It is spread through contact with infected fleas, mites, or lice. Symptoms include high fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and a rash on the torso and extremities. Treatment includes antibiotics, such as doxycycline or tetracycline, and in severe cases, supportive care and hospitalization may be necessary. Without proper treatment, the disease can lead to serious complications, including meningitis, myocarditis, and even death. It is important to practice good hygiene and avoid contact with infected animals or people to reduce the risk of infection.
